Solar Power Plant Technologies

With the excessive increase in global warming, it is a need for time to shift to green energy systems. This is a huge transition if we convert our requirements to the green system, but indeed this is the biggest contribution to the future of humanity. And, many companies such as Reon Energy working with top notch clients in Pakistan to install solar power plants aim to reduce operational cost.

Modern Solar power plants are one of the biggest sources of producing green energy. Huge solar parks are the biggest source of producing solar energy. In contrast, solar energy production could be as small as a consumer can only produce the energy for their domestic household.

Solar power plants use different methods to produce energy as per their convenience and requirements. Few technologies, which are widely used to produce energy through solar power plants, are as follows.

Photovoltaic (PV) systems:

Photovoltaic systems basically use solar panels to convert sunlight into electric power. Photovoltaic systems are the biggest resource of solar system energy production worldwide. A consumer can install directly at their home, office etc. and produce electricity as per their need. Governments nowadays are introducing solar parks by using this process to produce electricity and further supply through grids on a wider level.

Nowadays, almost every country has started working on this technology and making a huge amount of electricity. In a photovoltaic system, sunlight directly hits a semiconductor surface, due to which electrons movements create an electric current. This produces DC current, which is then converted to AC current before supplying to domestic users.

Concentrated Solar Power (CSP):

This system uses solar thermal energy to make steam, and then the steam drives the steam turbine to produce electricity. This technique of producing electric energy is unique and is currently being used in very limited countries. It is used to produce electricity on a larger scale; this system uses mirrors to direct the sun rays on particular tubing, which contains a particular fluid that then heats the water and creates steam. Steam is then used to run the steam turbine.

Solar energy systems are widely used all over the world to produce clean energy; if we look at the current growth of these methods, we can say the future of our earth will be green.
